MorphoSys’s second largest site is located in Oxford, England, with
nearly 80 AbD Serotec employees. In January 2007, these employees moved
into a new building, the opening of which was presided over by Malcolm
Wicks, the British Minister for Science and Innovation. The research at
this location is primarily the development and characterization of
antibodies to be used as research reagents.
Only a 90-minute drive northeast of London, Oxford is one of Great
Britain’s most important academic research centers. Oxford’s research
environment is greatly influenced by Oxford University, not only the
oldest university in England, but one of the oldest universities in
Europe.
