General Accountabilities

The Sr. Administrative Assistant will support one or more MorphoSys’ Global Line Function
Heads, and members of their team as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have previous
experience as an administrative assistant supporting a senior leader/executive and will be
able to handle diverse tasks efficiently and within a fast-paced environment.
This individual will be responsible for the general administrative support, including but not
limited to, calendar and travel scheduling, expense reporting, meeting planning, and general
project support which may be assigned.

  • Administrative support to the Head of Department including managing of complex
  • calendar and execute administrative activities within the Research & Development
  • Organization
  • Will support their teams on all administrative aspects of the contracting process with
  • external vendors and serve as a SAP super user to ensure flawless execution of the
  • purchasing system
  • General secretarial duties for department members (e. g. travel arrangements incl.
  • conference registrations, travel costs reimbursements and general correspondence)
  • Support budget preparation and invoice management for the department
  • Interface with different departments, e. g. Legal Department (contract management),
  • Purchasing and Compliance
  • Coordination of appointments, meetings and ensuring adequate meeting and
  • technical facilities are available
  • Maintenance of various data bases, tracking systems and internal teams’ intranet

  • Assist in new hire onboarding, including coordination with the HR group
  • Interact with all levels of management in the organization, both domestic and
  • international, necessitating tact, diplomacy, discretion and good judgment
  • Coordinate, manage and support preparation of internal/external meetings, videos
  • and conference calls including minute taking
  • Maintaining departmental files and proper submission of approval forms as
  • requested to ensure compliance with protocols
  • Handle confidential information and communication with all levels of the
  • organization in a professional & discrete manner
  • Provide coverage for other Administrative Associates within the R&D Organization
  • May be asked to assist with other/various projects as required

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent written communication and organization skills
  • Excellent application of office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
  • Proven ability to work independently, highly organized and effective in handling
  • multiple detail-oriented projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible in terms of short notice changes to tasks and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
  • High attention to detail and results, and precision in creating reports,
  • correspondence, and/or presentations
  • Ability to interact with various levels of business functions and professionals in and
  • outside organization
  • Ability to interact with all employees within the organization, including senior
  • management, and to respond effectively to the needs of the business is required
  • Able to work independently and solution-oriented with little need for detailed
  • guidance, external input on priorities and constant check-up
  • Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred, but is not a requirement
  • Prior experience as an administrative assistant (~5 years), preferably supporting
  • senior level management, is highly desired
