Your Responsibilities

The scientist will be part of the Physico-Chemical Analytics (PCA) team with the following responsibilities:

  • Work on cutting-edge technologies with the aim of generating differentiated, more efficacious and safer engineered antibody-based therapeutics for patients
  • Plan, conduct and supervise physico-chemical characterization studies of antibodies with a focus on LC-MS
  • Evaluate technology and develop and improve analytical methods
  • Organize and continuously improve the analytical workflows in the PCA team
  • Function as a subject matter expert in an inter-disciplinary setting
  • Supervise technical assistants and coordinate project tasks with other scientists to ensure efficient, high-quality protein characterization and analytics
  • Present and discuss results within MorphoSys cross-functional project teams and with external partners

Your Skillset

  •  PhD in the field of life sciences or equivalent degree in biotechnology, biology, cell biology, biochemistry or related disciplines preferably complemented by post-doc or industry experience
  •  At least three years of hands-on experience with ESI-TOF (LC-MS) of proteins required
  • Experience with peptide-mass fingerprinting and tandem MS required
  • Experience with capillary electrophoresis is beneficial
  • Experience in GxP-regulated environments is beneficial
  • Systematic, careful and responsible execution and review of experiments
  • Team-player with well-developed communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German
  • High degree of motivation to learn and develop personally and professionally
